SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is alarmed with regard to the higher amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie sassa and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area each day. The provider place designed for intervention experiences a superior influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it difficult to the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to permit the servicing of all consumers and boost access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
